Some sunny June vibes are coming your way, wine cellar fans! We can’t believe that we’re nearly halfway through 2020. It certainly has been quite a different year for the entire world, that’s for sure. But we’re still grateful that we can enjoy the things we love – like a good bottle of wine. We’re also happy that we are still able to deliver quality wine cellar services. This recent project for our client in Dade City, FL is something we’re quite proud of:

Project # 318438
Wood: Custom / Vintner / DKS / Premium Redwood

Back to the classics with Premium Redwood

It’s back to the classics with this beautiful wine cellar project. The racking assembly is a combination of custom units and our wine rack kits. Specifically, it’s the Vintner and Designer Series at work here. As can be seen from the photos, the racking assembly comprises of a variety of styles. You have the standard individual bottle columns with high reveals and fixed shelves. Then you also have the Curved Corners that help create a seamless flow to the entire racking layout. Racking to accommodate magnums and similar larger-format bottles was also incorporated:

Dark Walnut brings back the classics

Here are some terrific shots of the different angles of the racking arrangement. We are loving the bold hues on the units. This makes the racks really pop out against the white walls and lighter colored flooring. The racks were stained with a Dark Walnut Stain option which is a very popular product. Dark Walnut usually results in a golden brown hue on woos. This stain deepens almost all shades of wood. For this project, our design team went back to the classics with Premium Redwood as the wood option:

Awesome variety in bottle storage styles

Premium Redwood is one of the top wood choices for custom wine cellar projects. While it is the next step up in price after Rustic Pine, the added expense is well worth it. Premium Redwood is probably one of the most reasonably priced clear wood. It has no knots, unlike Rustic Pine. It includes wood from all part of the log which varies from white to pink to red and reddish brown. This variety of colors is what makes others prefer Premium Redwood over All-Heart Redwood. Premium Redwood absorbs all stains and finishes extremely well, particularly dark ones. This is how it turns out with Dark Walnut stain – a clean and classy wine room. *Cheers*
